Evan Rashleigh, a first year apprentice at the Hally Labels Brisbane plant, has won a silver medal at the Queensland Printing Industries Craftsmanship Awards. Held in October 2013, the Awards recognise print excellence across the wider print, packaging and visual communications industries.
The winning entry was an 8 colour, national-branded sauce label. The customer has high brand expectations and these are reflected in the quality Evan achieved for this entry, along with the work he continues to produce. Evan has worked at Hally Labels for four years, beginning as a Print Assistant and now as a first year apprentice.
Hally Labels has a strong apprenticeship program, regularly offering both adult and standard print apprenticeships to keen existing staff. We employ 20 qualified printers at the Brisbane plant, with 4 current apprentices across first year, third year and fourth year. Additionally, 5 of our staff have previously been proudly sponsored by Hally Labels through their apprenticeship.
